INTRODUCTION TO UNDERSTANDING DON MASHAK'S POLITICAL PERSPECTIVE

Hello Fellow Citizens and Patriots;

Quite Simply we have have allowed ourselves to be duped. The 2 major political parties have divided and conquered us. They have us pitted against each other on issues like abortion and gun control, rich and middle class vs the poor,big government vs small government, higher taxes vs lower taxes, and religion vs secular humanism, etc. while they steal us blind.

Why Robert Redford won't run for Political Office?

Here were sworn enemies, the leaders who beat the s___ out of each other all day in public, but the minute those doors closed for the state dinner, the daggers went away and it was one big happy family.... Everyone was crossing the aisles and chuckling, and I said, 'Oh, I get it! It really is just a game.

The time has come for the average voter to stop thinking republican vs democrat and start thinking common voter vs corrupt politician. Though the corruption and duplicity has been more subtle until recently, I do not know how anybody can continue to to put their heads in the sand after the 700B bank bailout, AIG Scandal, and the 2 Trillion dollar Stimulus pork barrel bill. There is no detailed accounting for the 700B bank bailout. There is no front page reporting of the campaign contributions being made from the companies that got bailed out to the Politicians that voted for and supported the bailout. Then there is the vacillation on whether those who voted for and managed the AIG mess knew about the big bonuses for failure... And the there is OBama who promised no lobbyist in the white house and no more earmarks, all broken promises mired in the stimulus pork barrel bill.

What if they are All Corrupt?

Unfortunately, with all of their prowess, vision of the future and the knowledge of history and human behavior, the Founders erred badly in their assumption that a body of men who hold power would not continuously strive to increase their power, in spite of the Separation of Powers doctrine embedded in the core of the constitution. They further erred in assuming that the PEOPLE would pay attention and hold those men with the power, accountable. Both assumptions have turned out to be grossly wrong and what you see around you today, nationally and internationally, are the result of those wrong assumptions.

The Founders provided mechanisms in the constitution for weeding out the bad ones through impeachment or recall proceedings. Except for one thing; these men and women of power will protect their own and there is no inside power to keep them from doing so. The only other power to offset the corrupt ones is the outside power of
WE THE PEOPLE through our votes. That only works if the outside power even cares.

The lust for power is all consuming and can be for way too many politicians, a deep-seated obsession or compulsion. The objective being, stay in power at any cost, or by any means to feed the obsession, not unlike a drug or alcohol addiction. Corrupt power is contagious and can infect those around the corrupt ones. Many new politicians, consumed by the desire to do good by getting elected to office, soon find when they get to their post, they have no power at all, other than what is dolled out to them by the senior ones. If a new politician makes any attempt to change the system or to weed out the corruption, he is immediately ushered off to some non-descript area where he can do no more harm. If he is ineffective as a politician, he soon loses his seat to a more aggressive politician who is eager to “play ball.”

There are numerous quotes and proverbs through history that warn us of the duplicity of government and politicians and the duty of the general citizenry to be vigilant...... but we have ignored them.

How can you tell if a Politician is lying? Their lips are moving.

How are Congress and prisons and prisons alike? They are both institutions of higher learning for criminals.

It is time for a voters to make a decision making paradigm shift:

If you are happy with your situation and the direction the country is going, vote them all back in regardless of political party, because they are the ones that got us here.

If you are not happy with your situation and the direction the country is going, vote them all out regardless of political party, because they are the ones that got us here. Are You Happy?

It is that simple. Stop buying into there 2 party scheme that turns the common citizenry against each other while they steal us blind.
